Important Information for BiotechMN in Rochester
Tomorrow is the big day! We are doing the first BiotechMN event in Rochester, and it’s going to involve both our usual brewery networking, as well as an afternoon of co-working in Discovery Square.
As we get ready for an awesome day, I want to provide some important logistical information, including addresses, timing, parking info, and a note on food/drink. Read below for details.
If you have any issues, you can message me on either LinkedIn or the BiotechMN Discord.
Timing & Locations
We are going to be meeting May 28 in Rochester. This unique event will include two parts, and everyone is welcome to join/leave at any time.
1:00pm - 5:00pm
Two Discovery Square: 415 2nd Ave SW, Rochester, MN 55902
We will be meeting in the main lobby near the coffee shop (Cafe Steam, Discovery Square) for an afternoon of co-working and hanging out at the Two Discovery Square building on the Mayo Clinic campus.
There are nice spaces both indoors and outdoors (it looks like we will be getting some great summer weather), as well as the nice coffee shop. Bring your laptop, notebook, and whatever else you need to be productive.
5:00pm - 7:00pm
Little Thistle Brewing: 2031 14th St NW, Rochester, MN 55901
After co-working, we are going to head over to the Little Thistle brewery for some evening networking. This portion of the event will follow our standard evening format of hanging out, enjoying some local brews, and connecting with fellow biotech enthusiasts!
Registration isn’t required, but it will ensure you get any last-minute updates, provide you with a calendar hold, and more.
Find us by the name tags and BiotechMN signs.
Parking
There are many options for parking in Rochester. You can do metered street parking, or you can park in one of the ramps. The Third Street ramp is pretty close, and usually has open spots (although sometimes does fill up). Below is a link for more information.
Food & Drink
In the afternoon we will be right next to the Cafe Steam coffee shop in Discovery Square, where you can get great coffee and other cafe beverages. They have some food as well.
I will be bringing a big box of Kirkland granola bars (definitely the best kind!) for folks who want a snack. It’s also a good idea to bring a water bottle that you can fill up at the various water fountain stations.
And if you haven’t already, be sure to subscribe to this newsletter because it’s the most reliable way to get updates on future meetups.
Note: As always this is a standalone networking group, and is not affiliated with, or associated with, any companies or organizations. Views expressed belong to those who express them.
